DETROIT – Chevrolet and GMC
today unveiled the all-new Silverado and Sierra
1500
pickups, designed to be the most refined, best engineered full-size pickups in
the market. Among the many updates for 2014 are dramatic new designs inside and
out for each brand; a trio of powerful, efficient EcoTec3 engines that
seamlessly switch to four-cylinder mode to improve efficiency; and quieter,
more comfortable, more functional cabs.
“The new Sierra and Silverado are more differentiated
than ever in unique features and materials, in their standard content and in
their design and details,” said Mark Reuss, president, GM North America. “These
are two strong and distinct brands – each one appealing to a different kind of
customer.”
